SUMMARY:The Regional Commercial Director will create and execute a comprehensive commercial and sales strategies for the company. Will assist in directing a new Strategic Business Direction for the company, and drive growth in this sector, one of the most important in the company’s 2023 strategic initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Build an industry leading sales and marketing organization.• Work closely with the senior management team to create a sales organization that aggressively takes advantage of the company’s strength of size and magnitude.• Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.• Develop an annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.• Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.• Implement approved distribution strategies.• Manage multiple channels selling strategies.• Build, develop, and manage sales team capable of carrying out significant sales and service initiatives.• Create and manage financial budget for entire Sales division.• Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.• Analyze, prioritize, and create a market development plan to capture needed customers. • Drive commodity-based sales plan by, direct contact with new customers, networking within the company’s existing customers, and working with sales staff to develop new channels of distribution.• Play a key role in product launch activities and maintain responsibility for timely development and rollout of marketing materials and programs that ensure products will meet short and long-term objectives. Interface with Graphics lab and outside vendors in development of materials and marketing campaigns. Coordinate fulfillment activities as needed.• Provide new market, new product appraisal. Efforts include market research, conducting customer interviews, product preference studies, compiling and summarizing information, and communication of information within project teams. • Provide real-time support to field sales, including travel to customer accounts, troubleshooting, and assistance in addressing customer issues.• Provide input and assistance in the development of product labeling items, including packaging, instructions for use, and compliance with international regulations.• Manage Sales Organization: Manage the sales organization, including hiring, and managing Directors of Domestic and Export sales, and additional sales personnel as the Sales Department expands. • Work closely with executive leadership team to define appropriate trade shows and industry groups and help define appropriate collateral materials, ad venues, etc. that will present the company’s products from this sector in the most effective manner.• Coordinate with VP of Operations to ensure product availability, profitability of sales, effective logistic support, and proper customer care.• Develop specialty ingredient’s structure mindset, plan resources needed accordingly and bring new companies’ partnerships.• Introduce and implement Global customers strategies. Equip and develop strategic executive account strategies, including global relationships and networking to expand company footprint.• Strategic proven mindset and ability to develop company long term strategic plan cycle.• Experience in managing international markets with emphasis in Latin America and Asia. Outside USA living experience is desirable as part of international experience.• Understands and have experience with marketing, communications and digital strategies & Digital marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. International commercial market experience is a must. Agriculture and Regulatory knowledge are a Plus. Master’s degree preferred.• Minimum of 7 years sales experience in produce, perishables, or commodity products.• Experience in Regulatory services related to food and consumer goods products is a plus.• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in specialty ingredients for food, Personal Care and Health related B2B products.• Experience in food protective packaging or packaging is a plus.• A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. • An ability to think ahead and plan over a 1–2-year time span, including establishing sales targets to meet company objectives.• The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. • Proven experience building and successfully implementing sales and service systems development and deployment. • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems at both a strategic and functional level. • Proven technical skills in strategic planning and sales planning. Experience implementing a comprehensive employee training and development program.• Strong customer orientation. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills. • Ability to develop high performance teams and be a strong team player with other division of the company. • Uphold and exemplify a commitment to company values.• Ability to partner with management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communication to customers.• Ability to travel extensively, domestically & internationally.• Computer proficiency.Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to speak and communicate in at Least English and Spanish. Other languages are a plus.Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The noise level in the work environment is moderate most of the time.Pay Range: $175,000 – $185,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
